Siraha: HEIFER international Nepal, through Shree Samadhan Mahila Krishi Sahakari, has provided relief assistance to Lahan Municipality for the control of Covid 19. A total of 300,000 relief has been provided to those involved in the agricultural sector during the epidemic. 


A cheque of Rs.3 lakhs has been handed to the Mayor of Lahan Municipality, Muni Sah, who was the chief guest at the event. Mayor Sah thanked Heffer Nepal and Samadhan Mahila Krishi Sahakari. Chief Sah said, “Samadhan Mahila Sahakari is doing a good job and should work in the interest of farmers by bringing more agriculture-focused programs in the coming days. 


Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Banaita Yadav, President of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Siraha, said that Samadhan Mahila Krishi Sahakari has made significant contribution in the agricultural sector. Banaita expressed the commitment of the media sector to fully support the agricultural revolution by making women entrepreneurs. 


Girija Yadav, secretary of Samadhan Mahila Sahakari, said that her organization has taken 12 resolutions while lighting 12 lamps. Yadav congratulated all the women members saying that the cooperative has now raised a capital of Rs 11 lakhs from a turnover of Rs 25,000. She hoped that Heffer Nepal would continue to evaluate the work of this organization in the days to come. 


The relief program was chaired by Durgi Devi Yadav, chairperson of Samadhan Mahila, while Raj Kumar Yadav, CPN district committee member, Jitan Sah, chairperson of Brahman Gorchari Secondary school and journalist Jibachh Udasi were present in the programme.
